2020 Wells & Division - Red Blend

Our 2020 Wells & Division is named after the intersection in Chicago where our great grandfather founded his wine and beer business over 130 years ago.  The 2020 is comprised of 34% Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, 33%  Estate Zinfandel and 33% Petite Sirah from Sunset Ridge Vineyard. It is always nice when a plan works out and with this wine, we feel like we made the wine we set out to create.  

Deep-pitched dark berry preserve, licorice and floral aromas, with baking spice and cola nuances in the background. Sappy and round on the palate, offering bitter cherry and cassis flavors that are given backbone and lift by a spine of juicy acidity. A smoky nuance appears on the long, spice-driven finish, where velvety tannins provide gentle closing grip.
